Growing in Christ Johan du Toit

  • The purpose of this study is to help Christians track their own spiritual growth. It will also help them locate the spiritual state of people that they interact with, whether saved or sinner. The first step to effective ministry to others is to establish where they are spiritually. Christian counsel to the unsaved always begins with the new birth, as it is the first step toward lasting hope and victory. And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head--Christ-- from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. Ephesians 4:11-16

Identity Johan du Toit

  • "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17 WHO ARE YOU? This new person that you have become is nothing like the old as new things have been added to you, and old things have been taken away. You have a new position before the Lord. You have received power, and a measure of the love of God has been deposited in you. If you don't know what God did in you, you cannot walk in it. This guide for personal or group study will take you on that discovery.
