1,700-Year-Old Christian Letter Uncovered – Oldest Outside of the Bible

A letter written 1,700 years ago by one Christian to another has been unveiled by the University of Basil, which is calling it the oldest Christian letter outside of copies of the New Testament.

The letter was written in Egypt around the year 230 AD. 

It ends with the unique closing, “I pray that you fare well in the Lord.”
