About WordWise Word School Inc.

WordWise Word School's History

WordWise Word School was established in Belgium in 1997 by Pastors Johan and Gerda du Toit.

Thirty-four students representing thirteen different nationalities attended our first year. A large number of them entered the fivefold ministry fulltime.

Our Mandate

WordWise is not a Theological Seminary and we don’t teach theology. Our teachings are taken directly from the Bible and are practical and easy to follow. Lack of knowledge is the fiercest enemy of Christianity.

Students of WordWise discover for themselves the riches of the Word by delving deeper and deeper into the treasures that we have inherited as children of God. Together we uncover the truth of who we are in Christ and what God has freely given to us in Him.

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 1 Corinthians 2:12

Accurate knowledge of the Word is not only the foundation of our faith,  it also provides strength, guidance and wisdom for life.

Global Impact

WordWise has since relocated to Canada. We also have a satellite school in South Africa (Hartbeespoort- and a new location in Shoshanguve, planted by Pastor André Coetzee), where our courses are offered in a classroom setting. A new school will soon be established in Malawi.  Pastor Johan visited Malawi in 2019 and already raised the necessary finances for the project to be implemented in 2020.

Through distance education, WordWise makes training for ministry available for free in many countries of the world. Our correspondence school reaches into nations and areas where believers have no possibility to go to a Bible School. The school continues to expand abroad as more nations come on board. The Word of God is powerful to change nations as we are faithful to do our part by taking the gospel there.

WordWise Word School, Inc. does not hold credentials with any other institution as it is not our purpose to award academic degrees. While we do not criticize academic learning, we pursue only our own mandate, which is to teach from God’s Word. Many of our graduates have become successful ordained ministers, as Pastors, Evangelists, and Teachers, in particular.

Prospective students are cautioned to do proper research before enrolling as students of Bible Schools that claim to be accredited, as official and/or legitimate accrediting bodies might not recognize “degrees” awarded by such Bible Schools. Some Bible Schools are affiliated with accredited institutions that are themselves not properly accredited.
