We continue to work through John chapter 3. “I must decrease; He must increase.” Powerful words spoken by John the Baptist that revealed his heart, words that should also flow from our own hearts as we establish our place before the Lord. “He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” (John 3:36) Believing in Jesus is, obviously, not enough as the devil also believes in Him (James 2:19) – but he doesn’t love Him, and will not obey Him. We want to spend eternity with Jesus because we love Him!
