What to do when the battle is real

The Father has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness (from the power of darkness) and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love. Colossians 1:13 Amplified Bible

Before we became alive to God, we lived a life under the influence of the power of darkness in the world and subject to and trapped in its system of operation. Now, alive to God, we live our lives as translated and shifted into God’s big world. We have been placed where we allow God’s influence from the kingdom of light and God’s love to work; delivered, removed from the effects of the power of darkness.

For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift. John 1:16 Amplified Bible

Jesus said in John 16:33 (Amplified Bible):

I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you].

I need to write today about a personal issue transpiring in my wife’s life, and mine.

Challenges in life come our way all the time; whether medically or economically, we have medicines and technologies that help us all the time.

When major challenges arrive in your life and family, and the medical profession can do nothing for you regarding an irreversible disease that is creeping in at a fast pace, with no prescriptions available that can treat this condition; suddenly you feel hollow, helpless, and time seems to stand still and you scramble for any answer. You try to find alternative medicinal treatments. You do your part to make everything available to God on your part that He could utilize and bring your healing and most of all you have hands laid on you by the believer knowing that the sick shall recover. Also, the healing Word is sent with authority over distances from others to bring healing.

We do our part, but we must in faith know that God will do His bigger part.

Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things we hope for, being the proof of things we do not see and the conviction of the reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. Hebrews 11:1 Amplified Bible

In faith you receive your [substance] answer from God. He is well able to do things in us and for us that are greatly unnatural and impossible to human understanding and reasoning. He is able to do those miraculous achievements because He has made this possible by paying the price for such things by the horrendous tortures, brutalities and sufferings His Son Jesus endured for us, finishing that work on the cross, and then making resurrection life available to all, to give life to our mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in us. Romans 8:11

His body was broken so that ours does not have to be. That cross was not a glorious scene. Isaiah 52:14 (Amplified Bible) tells us that the Servant of God became an object of horror; many were astonished at Him. His face and His whole appearance were marred more than any man’s, and His form was so disfigured beyond that of the sons of men; all for our sake. There is no requirement for us anymore to carry any sickness or disease.

In Romans 4:19-21 we see that even though the mind is bombarded with all kinds of conflicting thoughts contrary to what God has said and done, yet you need to stand having done all; continue to stand, knowing that what God has promised, He is also able and more than willing to perform. Never give in to the barrage of doubting thoughts.

Palm 92:15 (Amplified Bible) says that we become LIVING MEMORIALS (not dead ones!) to show that the Lord is upright and faithful to His promises: He is my Rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.

Now we need to receive our faith expected outcome. Some will ask, ‘how does one receive’?

There is no magic formula. One must make a quality decision to simply do so in child-like trust of the faithfulness of what the Father has said and done. Yes, that is the hard part. But that is what is necessary.

A pastor that I know, very dear to my heart, has said many times and often enough, that some things from God can be taught; yet, some things just must be caught inside our deepest innermost being.

So, I am writing this, in the middle of an ongoing crisis in our life, expecting to see the favorable outcome that God has provided through His promises.

I expect to be writing again, to follow up, on our expected outcome, my wife and I to be a living memorial to be fresh and flourishing, declaring that the Lord is upright, no unrighteousness in Him and:

1Thessalonians 5:23 Amplified Bible …that our spirit, soul, AND BODY be preserved sound and complete [and found blameless] at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
